With shovels, wheelbarrows, rakes, garden gloves and seeds, a group of volunteers helped Boys Town Washington, D.C., youth and families kick off Earth Day. The second annual “Planting the Seeds of Hope” event at the Boys Town campus April 19 provided an opportunity to learn about the environment and beautify the campus.

The Better Business Bureau Wise Giving Alliance has named Boys Town, a nonprofit organization working to save children and heal families locally and across the country, as a 2009 BBB Wise Giving Alliance Accredited Charity.
